Lumineers
A brilliant, white smile is considered around the world to be a sign of good health and happiness. If your smile is failing to reflect your true inner joy, and if you’ve tried professional whitening treatments to no avail, it may be time to consider Lumineers. Lumineers are a revolutionary cosmetic dentistry secret that has been used for more than 20 years to help give patients a brilliantly white smile. One of the reasons why this treatment is a secret is that they look incredibly natural; friends and family will never know you’ve had them put on unless you tell them! Lumineers can be applied easily, without any reshaping of your natural teeth, making them one of the more popular cosmetic dentistry treatments today.
Lumineers vs. dental veneers – what’s the difference?
Lumineers differ from dental veneers in two key ways. First, unlike dental veneers, Lumineers are removable when necessary. Second, Lumineers don’t require any of your healthy tooth enamel to be removed, so there is no need for numbing shots – the application process is virtually painless, and most patients report they experienced no discomfort at all. Lumineers only require two visits to your dentist.
Understanding the Lumineer application process
Before your Lumineers can be applied, our dentist will need to identify and treat any serious existing dental issues. Once this is done, an impression of your teeth will be made and sent to a dental laboratory where your Lumineers will be custom-made. This usually only takes around two weeks. Once the Lumineers have arrived in our office, you will return to have them applied. After checking to see that the shade of the Lumineers fits well with your natural coloring, the dentist will make sure that they will fit over your teeth properly. They will then be applied to your teeth. This process generally only takes an hour.
How can I benefit from receiving treatment with Lumineers?
Lumineers can correct a number of dental issues in addition to improving the shade of your teeth. Lumineers can fix issues such as chips, cracks, unusual gaps, unusually shaped teeth, and crooked teeth. In some cases, Lumineers may even be able to keep you from having to undergo expensive dental procedures in order to update your existing dental work. Lumineers are a safe, effective, and very quick way to achieve a brilliant, white smile.
